BRIEF BIO
After graduating from the College of Engineering Trivandrum with a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering in 1989, I joined HMT Ltd. Kalamasseryas as an Engineer. I worked in HMT Ltd. Kalamassery from August 1989 to May 1999 in the manufacturing area, including CNC manufacturing. While working at HMT, I got first-hand experience in various metal cutting processes, process planning, CNC programming, tool planning, fixture design and inspection, including the use of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). As a part-time student, I took an M. Tech degree from the School of Engineering, CUSAT, in 1997. I joined the School of Engineering as a Lecturer in June 1999. I obtained my PhD in Mechanical Engineering from NITC, Kozhikkode, in 2007. As a faculty member, I have taught various subjects such as CAD/CAM, SQC, Mechanics of Solids, Advanced Mechanics of Solids, Finite Element Method, Industrial Tribology etc. I have guided eight students for their PhD degrees; six completed their research and obt
