Dr. A. Mathiazhagan, is a Professor in the Dept of Ship Technology, Cochin University. He was Head of the Department from Jan 17th 2019- 16th Jan 2022. He has more than sixty papers published in national and international journals/ conferences and seminar and was coordinator of the conferences and seminars organized in the Department. He has conducted one day workshop on marine corrosion and its control in 2012 at the Department of ship Technology, CUSAT-22. He has given invited technical talks on Corrosion and its Control for ISTE Training program and seminar held in CUSAT, Kochi-22. He has attended twenty short-term courses in his chosen area. He completed Short Term Research Training Programmes at IIT Chennai and NIT, Trichy. He has disseminated the corrosion awareness to students of various engineering field and industrial people and inculcated the corrosion management practices to people working in ship building and offshore industry.
