BRIEF BIO
Asha Gopalakrishnan joined the Department of Statistics, Cochin University of Science and Technology in 2001. Her research interest include Distribution Theory, Modelling and Analysis of time to event data. She is the recipient of the National Board of Higher Mathematics Research award, Department of Atomic Energy, Govt of India for the year 1992 and is an Elected Member of International Statistical Institute, Netherlands. She has adorned several administrative positions. like Head of Department, Chairman and member of various Board of Studies, members in various committees. She has thirty one research publications in national and international peer reviewed journals, completed four research projects funded by DST, UGC, NPOL, Govt of India. She serves as a subject expert in Advisory board for National level Examination Commissions, State Public Service Commissions. She serves as a reviewer for many National and International journal and is an associate editor of two national journals.
