BRIEF BIO
Prof. Usha K Aravind joined the School of Environmental Studies in 2019 after a long and fruitful career as a Research Coordinator (Research Scientist) at the Advanced Centre of Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development (ACESSD), M.G. University. She specializes in Green technology, especially in the development of nanomembranes for environmental applications such as water purification, low-pressure filtrations, water treatment, water pollution, protein adhesive surfaces, protein-based sensors, and structural variation of proteins, and Advanced Oxidation Processes (for the degradation of organic pollutants). She holds 16+ years of experience teaching Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Water-Air-Soil Chemistry, membrane chemistry and technology, bio-energy, etc.
