BRIEF BIO
Dr.Narayanan Namboothiri V N is a Professor in the Division of Mechanical Engineering and currently the Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Cochin University of Science and Technology. He completed his B.Tech and M.Tech from Calicut University. He received the Senior Research Fellowship from CSIR in the year 1993. Dr. Narayanan Namboothiri received his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in the year 1998. His area of specialization was Form Metrology. He then joined CUSAT as Lecturer in the year 1998 and was promoted as Associate Professor in 2010 and Professor in 2013. He was awarded Post-Doctoral Fellowship by Kyungpook National University, South Korea in the year 2005 and has completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Intelligent Manufacturing Systems Laboratory under the Mechanical Engineering Department of Kyungpook National University. His areas of teaching and research are CAD/CAM, Mechanics, Additive Manufacturing.
