BRIEF BIO
| Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Calicut in 1974. Holds certificate of competency as MEO Class I issued by Director General of Shipping, Mumbai. Holds Post Graduate Degree in Maritime Safety and Environment Protection from World Maritime University, Malmo, Sweden. Served as Marine Engineer for 17 years with the Shipping Corporation of India, Mumbai out of which 6 years as Chief Engineer. Served with the Director General of Shipping for 20 years in various capacities as Engineer & Ship Surveyor, Deputy Chief Surveyor and Principle Officer (I/C). During the service with DG Shipping, carried out the duties of Shipping Master. After retirement from Govt. service, served as Consultant with the Indian Register of Shipping for 2 years. Approved External Examiner of Engineers for all grades of Engineering examinations conducted by DG Shipping. Joined the service of Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering, CUSAT as Director on 10-10-2019. |
