Dr. Shaju S S did his post-graduation in Hydrochemistry (2007) and received his Ph.D. in faculty of Marine sciences (2015) from Cochin University of Science and Technology. He worked as Research Fellow at Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (2008 to 2012). He was qualified with National Eligibility of Lectureship (NET),(all India rank 28) Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Human resource development Group, New Delhi, India. Member, 5th Indian Scientific Southern Ocean Expedition, National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research, Ministry of Earth Sciences, India. He worked as Assistant Professor at Department of Fishery Hydrography, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS), Cochin. He was a Research Associate at Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory, Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, (2016-2017).
