BRIEF BIO
| Formerly, Dr. Kavitha Chalakkal was the Assistant Director (Research) and Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in Lloyd Law College, Delhi-NCR. She has more than 8 years experience in academics and in national and international non-governmental sector. Dr Chalakkal received her PhD (2014) in International Environmental Law from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, after completing her L.L.M. in Intellectual Property and Environmental Law (2006; Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala) and M.Phil. in Public International Law (2008; Jawaharlal Nehru University). She received her bachelor's degree (L.L.B.) from Kerala University in 2003. Before starting her career in academics, Dr Chalakkal worked with various non-government organizations. SShe is a member of the World Commission on Protected Areas and World Commission on Environmental Law, International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
