BRIEF BIO
Dr. Akhil S. Karun is an Assistant Professor at the Division of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kochi. Before joining CUSAT he was working as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at CSIR–National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST), Govt. of India, Trivandrum. He was a recipient of CSIR-Senior Research Fellowship and CSIR-Research Associateship. He completed Ph.D. from CSIR-NIIST awarded by CUSAT. He obtained M.Tech. in Machine Design from College of Engineering Trivandrum and B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from MG University. He is also a recipient of “Prof. Brahm Prakash Best Ph.D. Thesis Award” for the year 2018 instituted by "The Indian Institute of Metals". He completed MBA from Bharathiar University; LL.B. from Govt. Law College, Thiruvananthapuram with Second Rank in the University of Kerala and LL.M. in Public Law and IPR from the Department of Law, University of Kerala.
