Dr. Mohammed Noohu Nazeer holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Marine Geology and Geophysics at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). With a Ph.D. in Geology (Micropaleontology) from University of Madras, Chennai under the guidance of Dr. S.M.Hussain, Dr. Nazeer specializes in the micropaleontology, sedimentology and paleoenvironment. His research focuses on the climatic shifts of diverse environmental niche as well as their future prospecting.
Before joining academia, Dr. Nazeer gained valuable experience as a Project fellow at National Institute of Rock Mechanics (NIRM), Bengaluru assisting the project for nuclear power plant feasibility studies in Seismotectonics department. As an assistant professor, he is passionate about mentoring students and guiding them through their research endeavors. Dr. Nazeer is also actively involved in interdisciplinary collaborations with various institutions.
