BRIEF BIO
Dr. Thomas Kurian is a Professor of Polymer Technology and former Head of the Department of Polymer Science and Rubber Technology, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi, Kerala State, India. He has authored about 145 research articles, a book chapter entitled “Natural Rubber: Production, Properties, and Applications” and edited a book on “Nanocomposite Materials: Synthesis, Properties and Applications”. Dr. Kurian received his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur; B.Tech., M.Tech., M.B.A. and PG Cert. (German) from Cochin University of Science and Technology; B.Sc. in Chemistry from Kerala University and PGDTRM from IGNOU, India. He was JSPS post-doctoral Fellow and JSPS post-doctoral Bridge Fellow at Yamagata University, Japan. 11 Scholars have been awarded Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. Kurian.
