BRIEF BIO
Completed Masters and M. Phil degree in Environmental Sciences from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu and acquired PhD under the faculty of Environmental Studies from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi. At present working as Asst. Professor in the School of Environmental Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi, Kerala, India. The thrust area of research is on the development of appropriate technologies for the treatment/conversion of organic waste especially food waste into manure, which is inevitable in the present day scenario of poor solid waste management in India. In the course of the research work two innovative in-vessel composting apparatus was developed with locally available material and indigenous technology. The design is patent pending in India. The area of specialisation is on water and waste water treatment, waste minimization, solid waste management, pollution control and environmental biotechnology and Bioremediation.
