BRIEF BIO
Dr. Pramod Gopinath is the immediate past Director of International School of Photonics, CUSAT and the Vice-President, Kerala Academy of Sciences. He joined CUSAT as a Professor in March 2016 and was earlier a faculty member at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, from 2007 to 2016. He has an M.Sc. in Physics - Materials Science from Mahatma Gandhi University and was awarded Ph.D. degree by Cochin University of Science and Technology. He was a Visiting Professor at University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He has 55 publications in reputed international journals and more than 100 in conferences/symposia. He is a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry(FRSC) and Kerala Academy of Sciences(FAS), Senior Member of IEEE, Past Chair of IEEE Photonics Society Kerala Chapter, Executive Council member of KAS, Plasma Science Society of India and Optical Society of India, member of Optica, and Life Member of  IPA. ILA, PSI, ISCA, etc.,
